Welcome to Ortega Traders. Our company was founded in 1984 by Dean and Anita Lauramore.We specialize in period jewelry, wooden products and other supplies to re-enctors of the American Civil War Era.
It is the goal of Ortega Traders to provide the historical community with the period-correct and accurate antique and reproduction jewelry, at the fairest prices and at the best quality available. Our wood products also reflect our committment. This is supported by continuous historical research to keep our cutomers informed of the most accurate pieces and accompanying histories, where possible. Ortega Traders offers our customers the opportunity to purchase one of a kind pieces of jewelry and custom wood items. We do not offer restoration or refinishing of wood work.
Dean and Anita also have a history of re-enacting in other periods of American history including the Native American culture, the pre-1840's buckskinning Mountain man rendezvous movement, early Spanish and the Colonial period. They hope you enjoy their new website and are always welcome to visit them in the sutlery at reenactments in the many states in which they travel.
